Italy and Austria

August 2025 • Europe • Rome, Florence, Venice, Bolzano, Ortisei, Salzburg

Multi-city run starting in Rome then moving north through Florence, Venice, and into the South Tyrol. Spent the most time in the Dolomites around Ortisei and Bolzano — alpine village pace, Seceda ridgeline, and the Funes Valley. Crossed into Austria to finish in Salzburg. The contrast between Roman street density and Dolomite space was the defining tension of the trip.
