This is where the Origin Arc ends and the actual work begins. Five segments from the 2023 hard reset through the Toronto rebuild to the present. Each block covers roughly six months. Not everything is logged — only what moved the needle.
SEGMENT 01 — JUL 2023 → DEC 2023
THE RESET
Left Khartoum for the last time. Landed in Toronto with a single plan: start over and do it right. First semester at UofT Engineering. Learning the city, the pace, and how to operate when the safety net is gone. No fallback. The pressure was useful.

BUILDING THE BASE
First full academic year deep dive. Started taking engineering seriously as a craft, not just a degree. Built the first real projects. Started cycling in Ottawa. Banff trip in July — first time in the Rockies. The city started feeling less temporary.

TRACTION
Things started clicking. Projects with more depth, fewer tutorials. Started tracking what I was learning and why. Banff and Calgary run in the Rockies. Skiing picked up as a winter discipline. The scope of what's possible became clearer — and more uncomfortable.

EXECUTION
Locked in on the engineering path. Internship search, project delivery, and the shift from learning to building with intent. Italy trip in August — Rome, Dolomites, Venice, Florence. Crossing into the phase where the work starts producing real output, not just potential.
